Matchlessantiques offers collectors and smiths this Large Old Wrought Iron Blacksmith BICK Hardie. This stake is designed to fit in a hardie hole of an anvil and is forged construction. The hardie has some pitting from age. See pictures. This Bick Stake will fit into a 1", 1 3/8" or a 1 1/2" hardy hole or swage block hole. NOTE: The 505 lb. Peter Wright and the 100 lb. Fisher Blacksmith Anvils ARE NOT INCLUDED in this auction.This stake really rings when tapped, typical of this period wrought iron tools. This stake could easliy date mid to late 1800s and possibly earlier. The measurements are: horn lenght 9 1/8", height 12 1/8", width 2 1/8", weight is just under 13 lbs.
