ITEM DESCRIPTION: is a wonderful Madam Alexander Sonja Henie doll from about 1939. Measuring approximately thirteen inches tall. Made from all composition with the swivel waist, six part body, jointed at the neck, waist, arms and hips. Tightly strung, she can hold a pose. Marked on her head and back: Madam Alexander and Wendy Ann, she obviously has the Sonja Henie face, complete with turned up nose, smiling mouth and dimples! Sonja has been lightly restored - very lightly. She has been cleaned, waxed and her eyes have been enhanced. That is all! She still has light crazing of her composition. However, all her painted facial features, hand and knee blush are original. She has her graceful original fingers without any repairs. Feet: all original, without repairs as well. She wears her original blond mohair wig, in nice curls, brass barrettes. This Sonja is a dream! She has been redressed in a sweet vintage yellow taffeta party dress, black velvet side snap shoes, and she slings a pair of roller skates over her shoulder. Always ready to get some exercise and have some fun! Her condition is quite wonderful although not mint. You will love her! Pictures are large so you can see her condition. Sold as is.
