Thirteen photo albums from the estate of Louise Rada of South Dakota. They range from about 1930 to 1968 and include an album or two on WWII. All original albums direct from the estate with no photos changed or taken out. The albums range from large with several photos per page to small with one photo per page. Photos include snapshots of all periods and real photo postcards from small villages in South Dakota early in the 1900s. This is a very unique and complete historical odyessy of the history of a family from a small western town through WWII and modern times in America. Many photos are identified!! Album 1) the latest one, 246 photos from 1948 to 1968, most b&w, two large photos of Louise Rada in her Marine uniform in 1948, rest are family, married life, vacations in Washington, D.C., Guyana, etc. Album 2) 1952 - 1968, 243 photos, least interesting of all, mostly about their son from baby up to school age, but includes mid 50s photos of British Guiana, Georgetown, Cape Hatteras lighthouse, Outer Banks from the mid 60s, etc. Album 3) large album, 198 photos, of Europe during or immediately after WWII, a few rare photos of the German V-2 rockets lying in parts on the ground, most photos are sights and scenery, most not identified, nice views. Album 4) medium size, 1929 & 1930, college days of Louise Rada at Southern States Normal School in South Dakota, 119 photos plus school scapbook stuff including a felt school letter, mostly period snapshots of friends, people, school activities, etc. Album 5) medium size, 160 photos, WWII in the Philippines, husband was a Navy pilot or photographer, photos of Jeeps, photo unit, Navy units, aerial photo, snapshot of ship burning at night, great album full of hardcore WWII shots. Album 6) medium album, 179 photos of Europe during and immediately after WWII, ruins of St. Lo, ruins of the Luftwaffe, GI holding Nazi helmet, Russian Women's concentration camp run by Nazis, Eiffel tower, scenes of France, PLUS two of Dinah Shore, jeeps, etc., great album. Album 7) medium size, 439 photos, 1937 - 1943, shows 21st Glider Training Detachment at Pittsburg, Kansas, 1942, also the train, Hiawatha, many views of west during early WWII, friends, soldiers, etc., nice album. Album 8) small album, 24 photos, rest are color postcards, late 1930s, of Niagara Falls and New York City. Album 9) small album, 55 photos, 1930s, some real photo post cards of college in South Dakota, and schools, etc. nice postcards. Album 10) Small album, 74 photos, life in Nebraska, 1932, '33. Album 11) 1933 Chicago Worlds Fair, 48 photos, including Soldiers Field, exhibits, etc. Album 12) small leather album, Spearfish, South Dakota, 43 photos of the Black Hills. Album 13) small album, WWII scenes from England, mostly sights, couple soldiers, dog. Buyer pays shipping of $20 in the States.
