This is a RARE and wonderful piece from Argentina with a very dynamic mix of pinks and rose color. I took the picture slightly damp to show the true color - and I recommend that a drop of lemon oil be used to keep the color bright. It is a very good size for Rhodochrosite which is difficult to find in slabs, over 1/4 lb. This is a raw slab without any polishing or cutting - it is all natural and displays the best that Rhodochrosite is famous for - rich pink color, undulating bands and druze vugs and druze areas. Both sides are shown in the pictures above beause each side is unique and fully formed. The color is a very true pink in multiple tones dark to light, all with a sweet, gentle energy. Good Rhodochrosite is difficult to find and always on the more expensive side, but this one is very well priced for its rarity, outstanding quality and size.
