137 Grams Early Art Deco 1926 Sterling Silver Reed & Barton Cigarette Case WW1 Military Vintage

Solid sterling silver early Art Deco signed Reed and Barton oversized heavy cigarette case. Will also hold modern sized Al Capone cigars, very nice also for business cards. With fantastic extremely ornate engraved front featuring floral urns, scroll work, large leaves, a bow in the center, and ivy around an oval cartouche with the initials "FWG" (Frankus W. Ward). Measures 4-5/8" x 3-1/2" x 1/2" thick, weighs a whopping 137.3 grams. With the original gilt butler swirled finish on the interior, and brass coil spring retainers to hold cigarettes in place on both sides. Signed "Sterling #899" with the Reed and Barton hallmark inside. Hand engraved on the back "To 1st Lieut. F.G. Ward Co. B. THPC Frankus To Ted June 8, 1926". In excellent extremely well babied condition, has not been cleaned and retains its original age tarnished patina. $9.95 US ship/insure.
