Vintage Custom 14 x 8 Maple Snare Drum made in Orange County Calif. @ West Coast Drum Center in 1976, which I bought new and have always had in a case and a smoke free environment. Tone is awesome and comes with dia cast batter rim and triple flanged resonate side rim. Drum is in round and all bearing edges in perfect condition, shell is 6 ply aged maple and the lacquer finish has surface signs of crows feet typical for this age finish, however still very shinny and does not effect the sound of the drum. Something about aged wood shells having the warmth and resonate tones most seek. Has Pearl lugs & dual snare throw offs for precision adjusting and an over size snare strainer with 43 strands. Big sound from low to med tuning warm with sharp attack ! T is ever so slight pitting on batter dia cast rim but no signs of any on the Pearl lugs or other hardware. Inside shell screws washers show signs of slight oxidation, should wipe off. No Reserve on this item ! Good Luck Bidding !
