From a local set we are selling these fine antique Englsih Art Nouveau pottery tiles some by Alfred Meakin of England . Some are signed and bear the factory logo, all are with moulded designs. They are as follows: 2- Caramel colored tiles with red with stylized floral designs. 6" x 6". Not signed. Cracquelure and chips to edges. 2- Ivory colored tiles with green and yellow floral and line designs. 6" x 6". Marked on back "England Resgestered" Also numbered 107. Lion Passant insignia in the center. 2- Ivory colored tiles with purplish blue stylized tulips. 6" x 6". Minor all-over crcquelure. Both numbered on back 722. No other markings. 1- Ivory colored tile with 3 stlylized tulips in bluish tone. No markings on back. 6" x 6". Minor cracquelure. 1- Light green colored tile with brown and turquoise colored jonquil style flower design. 6" x 6". Minor cracquelure. Marked England on reverse. No other markings. 1- Ivory colored tile with green wreath design and gold floral center decoration. 6" x 6". Minor cracquelure. Marked on reverse with Lion passant insignia. Also marked ENGLAND REGESTERED 107 2- Light green tiles with pink and green floral designs. 6" wide by 4-1/2" high. Chips to corners on one. Minor cracquelure. Marked on reverse- A.M. Ltd. ENGLAND H & R JOHNSON LTD. 2- Turquoise colored tiles with stylized molded floral designs. 6" wide by 3" high. Stains and light chips. cracquelure. Both marked on reverse- ENGLAND . 1- Ivory colored tile with blue and green floral molded decoration. 6" wide by 3" high. No markings on reverse. Cracquelure. We are selling this collection all as one lot. We presume them all to be by Meakins, though only a few are signed. They all bear the same heavy glaze and are of the same period, circa 1910. We are starting this collection of antique tiles from England off at $ 9.99 and selling with NO RESERVE. Good Luck !!!!!!! Mass. Residents pay 5% sales tax.
