14" Mahogany Panda Bear by Riffenberg Bear Co. signed tag by Artist Jane Monroe Fabulous bear with very rich reddish brown coloring. Has original signed and dated (2002) leather sewn in tag on the back. Bear has a fabric multi colored bow around its neck. Handcrafted Mohair Bears With A Vintage Flair By Jane Monroe Of C. Riffenberg Bear Co. Jane Monroe creates high-quality, small limited edition Teddy bears and kitties using the traditional techniques of master toymakers. Each is her own original design and has a delightful vintage look with a folk-art influence. She chooses the finest quality materials such as the mohair that she hand-dyes herself for the perfect color. Jane gives each creation a waxed pearl cotton nose, felt-backed handpainted eyes and stuffs them with excelsior filling and poly-pellets for a nice weighted feel. Jane's Teddy bears have been featured in many magazines since she began C. Riffenberg & Co. in 1982 including Teddy Bear Review and Teddy Bear & Friends .
