14" Parian Bust of Prince Albert Edward dated 1864

Description - A fine Parian bust of Queen Victoria's son, Prince Albert Edward made at the Art Union of London in 1864. Beautifully sculpted with sharp details. If I interpret the markings and what I've read online correctly, The bust was sculpted by noted English sculptor Morton Edwards after a model by C. Delpech. It is impressed on the front of the bust "ALBERT EDWARD" and "ART UNION OF LONDON 1864". It is also marked on the reverse with "MORTON. EDWARDS. ST" and "C. DELPECH (RED T)".

The bust is 14" tall and 10" across (35.6 x 25.4 cm).

It is in Excellent condition without nicks, chips or cracks. There is a small line of paint on the back shoulder that I don't want to attempt to remove. I wouldn't want to harm the Parian. This line is about 1" long x 1/4" wide (2.5 x .6 cm). It is beneath the mold of the shoulder and is NOT seen without inspecting the back.

As always, I unconditionally guarantee that you will be satisfied.
