VERLINGUE antique doll circa 1910 is a super French PETITE FRANCAISE character child with blue eyes. She is GUARANTEED to be free of hairlines, chips, cracks or restoration to the bisque head. She is GUARANTEED to be on her original body and made by J. Verlingue in Limoges France circa 1900 to 1915. Virtually PERFECT Condition... Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a real treasure! She has a Bisque socket head on a fully jointed French composition and wood body. Beautiful, large blue paperweight eyes (reset) with painted upper and lower lashes plus extra applied false eye-lashes, thick tapered brows, open smiling mouth with six molded upper teeth, pierced ears with milk glass bead earrings, gorgeous blond mohair wig. Dressed in an antique style royal blue satin dress with shirred bodice, tripple tiered self ruffle skirt, pretty ruffled collar and cuffs, matching blus hat bedecked with flowers and glass fruit, wonderful three layers of lace edged cotton undergarments, black net stockings, black leather shoes. MARKS : PETITE FRANCAISE FRANCE J (ANCHOR SYMBOL) v LIANE 4 CONDITION: Generally excellent. Nice quality bisque head with pleasant color, very crisp modeling of smiling expressive face. The original body is in excellent original finish condition, but the hands may be repainted with two fingers on the right hand possibly repaired. This unusual and seldom found character by Verlingue has such a captivating expression. She will be sure to add sparkle to your collection!!!.
