U p for auction is a lot of 14 Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plates from 1965 to 1978 as listed below. Royal Copenhagen has issued a Christmas collector's plate every year since 1908. Each plate is made for only one year in hand-painted cobalt blue and then the molds are destroyed. This auction includes: 1965 Little Skaters 1966 Blackbird At Christmas Time 1967 The Royal Oak 1967 The Royal Oak (I have 2 of these) 1968 The Last Umiak 1969 The Old Farmyard 1971 Hare in Winter 1972 In the Desert 1973 Going Home for Christmas 1974 Winter Twilight 1975 The Queen's Christmas Residence 1976 Vibaek Water Mill 1977 Immervad Bridge 1978 Greenland Scenery These are all in excellent condition, except for 1971 which has a chip on the top of the place, see photo. I am not a plate collector so I don't know much about these place, but they appear to be in new condition. Fully marked and signed. 7-inch diameter. Made with holes in the back ready for hanging.
