The 14" soldier sculpture depicts the warrior riding on his stout and strong horse. (Beiwei Style) He looks like he is holding the reins. The statue boasts incredibly fine detail in the paint work - on the warrior's face and his colorful clothing .
The horse is the seventh animal in the Chinese zodiac, an organization of the calendar into 12-year cycles, each represented by an animal associated with specific personality traits. It is widely believed that people born in the year of the horse are perceptive and skilful. This wonderful piece strongly reflects those character features. The craftsmanship quality and the ultra fine paintwork applied to this elegant sculpture is outstanding!
