14 VOLS LEATHER BOUND WORKS OF WILLIAM PRESCOTT 1864 Presented is great set of 14 volumes of the Works of William Prescott. Each ¾ leather bound volume has a marbled blue, brown, and red cover with brown leather corners and bindings. The same marbled design is found on the first and last pages and on the edges of the pages. The set includes five different histories as well as a biographical work. The front plate of the first volume in each work contains an engraving of the subject of that work. The leather bindings have five raised ridges along the spine, and each binding is labeled in gold with the title, the author, and the volume number. The volumes were published in Philadelphia by J. B. Lippincott & Company in 1864. These are wonderful old decorative leather bound books that will look great in your home or library. Unfortunately volume 1 of the History of the Conquest of Mexico is missing, but the remaining 14 volumes are in excellent condition. The pages are very readable with no marks or stains. The leather on the bindings and on the corners of the cover shows some wear commensurate with age as you can see in the photos, but t are no breaks in the binding, and none of the pages are loose. The gilding on the bindings is clear and readable. The books measure 5 1/2 inches by 8 inches. The following books are included in the set: History of the Reign of Ferdinand and Isabella The Catholic, vols. I, II, III Good luck and bid with confidence. For the American Bidder
