is a necklace normally sold with a high reserve price, this is a rare auction because this is a very substantial 263 carat piece to be sold with a one dollar start and the highest bidder will be an owner. I have sold similar pieces like this to the many "A" list movie stars and you can see some of them in current tabloid magazines as well as televised award ceremonies. This is a victorian blue sapphire and diamond necklace with a striking display of gemstones. This particular piece is from the British India estate and has a blue sapphire necklace and 600 diamonds that make this an outrageous piece. This is from an old collectors estate and has been in a vault for most of its life so it is in good condition for its age, I know for a fact that it was part of a families nest egg that immigrated from India to London. Description: This beautiful piece has so many diamonds and blue sapphires so I will get on with it for the sake of time. The necklace has diamonds and more diamonds, its really awe inspiring to say the least. This huge lavalier has hundreds of diamonds with many larger foil backed diamonds set into a gorgeous pattern centered around a lotus flower in the middle. This lavalier measures 90mm long and 57mm wide complete with diamonds from top to bottom, its one of the largest displays of diamonds. T are 28 foil backed diamonds ranging in size from .06 carats to .60 carats, ten of them are over .50 carats so t are some substantial diamonds Due to the age of this t are three cracked diamonds however they are stable in the bezel settings and do not require any attention. You can only see this if you are looking for it with magnification. T are a lot of diamonds in this and my gemologist checked each diamond size and weight so you can be sure t is no guessing the diamond sizes and weights. All of the 572 genuine diamonds add up to a staggering 18.7 carats! This is an investment that you can wear and enjoy every time you wear it. The larger sapphires measure 9x14mm so you have an idea of how large they are. The 18 carats of diamonds make this one a fabulous piece with an outrageous amount of diamonds and sapphires together. The diamonds are mostly white and clean with a grading of "I" color and "I" clarity quality with a few off white diamonds mixed in. The larger diamonds are dangling at the very bottom in pear shaped settings. The necklace contains a remarkable 263 carats in total. It is made of 14k yellow gold with sterling silver in the top and 14k yellow gold trimmings such as the catch, link rings and underneath w it touches the skin. We have taken the time to carefully measure each stone to come to an accutate weight so t is no guessing so you may bid with vigor and confidence.
