VINTAGE ** 14K GOLD ** ~ CORRECT ~ GREEN ENAMELED WINGS BEE or FLY BUG PIN SCRAP or REPAIR ~ NO RESERVE ~ ITEM: Vintage 14K Gold & Enamel Correct Bee or Fly Bug Pin ~ Scrap or Repair SIZE: Piece is small at: 1/2" in height; 1/2" in width ~ Total weight is approximately 2.5 grams. Please Note: Pictures have been magnified for better viewing. Please refer to measurements above for actual size. Thank you! ITEM DETAILS: This auction features a vintage, 14K gold & enamel Bee or Fly pin. It is being sold for scrap or repair due to the fact that the primary pin portion is COMPLETELY MISSING . It is in the shape of a bee or fly (I'm really not sure which it is supposed to be), with a dimpled lower body and little outstretched legs. The wings are really what makes this piece special: they are filled with a wonderful, deep-green enameling. It is marked on the back, right side with, "14KT CORRECT." T also appears to be a little eagle emblem below the "Correct" name. As noted above, the main pin portion is completely missing, so it will need to be repaired before it can be used again. I actually think this is a nice size for conversion into a pendant (it would obviously need the addition a pendant loop at the top), but that would really be up to the new owner. It is still a neat little piece that I believe is worthy of repair. CONDITION: Fair Minus to POOR - I am considering the age and use of this item when factoring the condition. As this piece is older, I would say it rates in Fair Minus to POOR condition for the age. As noted above, the main pin portion on the back is COMPLETELY MISSING . T is a smaller, secondary pin piece but it is not function al , and appears to be t only as a sort of back-up to what is now missing. This is quite obvious, and will need to be repaired (or converted into a pendant, as suggested above), before it can be used again. T are some minor surface scratches seen, but nothing I would consider unusual for the age or use. The enameled areas also look good with no chips, cracks or missing pieces to it. It appears to be the broken pin that is the biggest issue. It is essentially being sold for SCRAP or REPAIR . With age and use considered, I would say it rates in Fair Minus to POOR condition overall.
