14K Yellow Gold Filligree Drop Dangle Post Earrings w/ Opals These exquisite 14K gold filigree dangle post earrings are very lovely, feminine and dainty. Beautiful filigree work that includes a floral design that is attached to the post from which drops the attractive and timeless. The opals are white with a fireworks display of colors - pinks, reds, greens, blues and yellows - that shimmer as light catches it at various angles. Quality in workmanship throughout. The butterfly that goes over the posts of the earrings are marked "14K" and also are marked with the hallmark "ATL". The back of the earrings do not have a mark but they were tested and confirmed 14K. Further details below. Stamps/Makers Hallmark : Earring butterfly backs are both stamped “14K”. Also has hallmark "ATL". Material: Each part (backs, posts, and main parts of earrings) of both earrings have been double tested for gold content, all parts of both earrings test out postive to 14K Gold. Measurements : Approx. 7/8th of an inch in length. The opal is oval and approx 1/4th inch long and 3/16th of an inch across the center of opal. The opal is a little thicker than 1/16th of an inch. Weight: 2.17 grams. Age: The opal earrings were purchased in the late 1970s. Earring Design: Lovely Filigree 14K gold 4 petal flower attached to post and from which dangles a 14K gold filigree and opal gemstone. Lots of color in the opals that are dazzling as the opals move. They are even more beautiful than in the photos. Condition: Pre-owned but in Excellent like-new condition. No dents or repairs. Both earring posts fit easily and snuggly over the butterfly backs. Have been carefully stored in a jewelry box for 40 years and worn occassionally. Beautiful condition overall. See photos for enlarged picture viewing of physical condition.
