Beautiful conception and many fascinating curisiosities namely America being depicted joined to Asia. Carta Marina de 1516 reproduccion reducida y comentada por Carlos Sanz Authors: Martin Waldseemüller (1470-1521) / Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) / Carlos Sanz Published: Madrid, 1960 Map on 12 sheets, each measuring about 47 x 64 cm or 18 1/2 x 25 in (including margins). About 130 x 250 cm in dimension when assembled. Accompanied by a reduced reproduction of entire map with assemblage instructions and text on verso. Condition: Very good condition and with good margins, despite leaves with small marginal tears (one with minor loss of paper at margin).
