Part document and part artistry printed on precious metal. Now imagine the joy of holding in your hand this example of a great Tudor period English Hammered Silver Coin! Superbly detailed Groat of Henry the Eighth Posthumously during the reign of Edward the Sixth. He is considered to be one of the most lavish rulers in the worlds history and certainly at the top in the UK. His father was Henry VII, and he fatd Queen Elizabeth, Edward VI and Bloody Mary. The Obverse shows a nicely detailed portrait of the King Facing right. His crown and beard are quite bold as you can see from the photo. You can make out his mustache, nose and even lips, it is quite a stunning portrait indeed. The Reverse is w this coin really shines with a stunning Tudor Coat of Arms with Lions and Lis with a cross fourchee across it! The grapple mint mark is bold as is the lis details in the coat. Look closely and study it and then bid what you think she should settle for. This one is an very nice addition to any collection of historical coins.
