Superb anthology of the work of 22 latin poets, from Virgil to Auson. The collection originated in Italy during the early sixteenth century and was reprinted until deep into the seventeenth century. Its subject matter centers principally on the human virtues and vices; the arrangement is alphabetical according to subjects. At end the well-known essay by Antonio Mancinelli (1452 - 1505) about the importance of poetry, containing several quotes from the Classic poets gatd under fifty different 'tituli'.
