"Henry Disston Philad`a Cast Steel Warranted" PRINTED ON THE SPINE.16-1/16" HENRY DISSTON BACK SAW 12 TPI 16"-1/16" L 3-5/8" W TOTAL LENGTH 20-1/2". (RARE SPLIT NUTS.)THIS SAW HAS PLENTY OF SCRATCHES, SCUFFS, SURFACE RUST, PAINT AND PETINA. THE BLADE LOOKS PRETTY STRAIGHT. THE HANDLE HAS A COUPLE OF CHIPS ON THE HORN AND AT LEAST ONE CRACK THAT LOOKS REPAIRED (GLUED AND A SMALL SCREW ON THE BOTTOM). THERE IS A NAME SCRIBED ON THE SPINE "FREEMAN DRESSLER". J BISCHOFF IS STAMPED ON THE HANDLE FRONT AND BACKSIDE. ALSO ON THE SPINE ON THE BACK. FROM WHAT I CAN TELL, THIS SAW IS FROM THE EARLY 1860'S AND BUILT HEAVY DUTY.All items are described to the best of my ability...so please ask questions.
