16 1/2" A lovely Sonneberg Belton Type doll made in Germany 1880 , made to compete the French market with their successful Bebes !! The doll I offer you looks really like an early French Bebe Schmitt : her quality bisque is smooth and pale , flawless with nice complexion ,the painted facial features are made in the manner of French dolls , the brown eyes are stationary and the newer ,custom made , outfit is a highlight tyoo : made in antique and French style , well matching hat and shoes ..... the doll will be offere d very reasonable as there is a restoration on top and back of head ..... Head : a fine socket head with swivel neck and solid dome , has three stringing holes on top , closed mouth with a red line between lips , accented lips and nostrils , brown eyes with painted upper and lower eye lashes , fine feathered brows , a replaced 100% natural mohair wig , no markings on head head condition : this lovely doll has unfortunately a restoration back on head , restoration is very well and professional done and fortunately is could be well hidden under the wig , fortunately too : face is not involved with a damage and no restoration on fore head and face....
