For bid is a fantastic collection of 16 1930s-1940s Bakelite and Catalin handled Kitchen Utensiles. 2 red Bakelite handled cake cutters, both in very good condition. Minor wear from age. 1 red Catalin handled beater with Hi Speed Beater made in USA by EKCO , very good condition, very little wear. Both turning knob and handle are red Catalin (might be Bakelite, not sure). Works fine. 1 very nice quality Strainer with a green motled Bakelite handle (409 tested). The metal does show some wear, no breaks or cracks, just staining and darkening from age. 4 Large Spoons, 3 with red handles, two are Bakelite, the other is an older plastic or Catalin. One spoon has a bullet handle of dark yellow/ orange with some damage marks, chips in the handle and a small split at the joining point of spoon to metal shaft, this one is marked Androck. One is a slotted spoon and one has graduated measuring lines on inside of spoon. Two are marked Corona Quality Stainless Steal , the slotted and the regular spoon. 1 Potato Masher, red handled, Catalin, very good condition. No mnf. marks. 1 dark red handled bullet style Ladel, I believe the handle is Catalin (test inconclusive, might be Bakelite). Good condition, some wear on interior of ladel. 1 red bullet handled large Androck Fork, I believe the handle is Catalin, similar to the ladel, just lighter. This fork is in very good condition, showing only some minor wear. 1 large red Bakelite (409 tested) Knife manufactured by Valley Forge . Very nice condition, though the knife does have very fine sharpener scratches on blade. 1 orange handled Pie Crimper, this looks like a true orange color, not an aged yellow ( I believe it is Catalin, 409 test inconclusive). The end that holds the crimper wheel does have a missing tip, broken from the metal, but the wheel is perfectly attached without needing the end tip. 1 yellow handled Knife Sharpener, I believe the handle is Catalin. Very good condition. Very little marks from use. 2 Stirrers with red ball ends, one 10" long and one 11" long. The longer one I believe is Catalin and has a twisted metal shaft and is marked stainless steal made in USA. The smaller is marked Stainless and may be a later type of plastic ball end. All the items show some minor wear, none are broken or show any major damage (other than the one bullet handle mentioned above).
