Superb original 1670 King James Version Bible in an excellent old binding, full leather with silver! It is so beautiful! Red ruled throughtout, on every page! This was done by hand in the 1600's for a wealthy owner, it adds great beauty as well as value to this Bible. The Bible is approx. 9" tall and 7" wide. The Old Testament title is dated 1676. In the back of the Bible are four pages of old contemporary handwritten commentary, see image 11 for example. They are beautiful and guaranteed to be antique original! At the front loosely inserted is a Albrecht Durer engraving (signed in the plate) laid on old 1500's paper, see image 10. Durer is considered the greatest old master engraver, see /wiki/Durer Durer engravings are beautiful and valuable, even if printed after the 1500's as this one. Some very light browning staining, but the pages are bright.
