I am pleased to offer a very nice example of a 17th Century Pewter Spoon (ca. 1650-1680) from my personal collection of over 25 years. I acquired this piece from a dealer in the village of St-Joseph-du-Moine, Nova Scotia,Canada in the mid-90's . This example bears a very legible 'le fleur de lys' touchmark on the inside of the bowl at the handle base( see photo #3). This spoon is definitely of French origin and produced for the early French settlers that settled Nova Scotia , or as the French called it Nouvelle-Ecosse. The spoon shows normal wear for a piece of this age, the inside of the bowl has about a 1/4' dent. All in all a great early pewter spoon with fine makings. Measures 7" overall. Payment is due in full within 5 days of the end of the auction. The buyer pays for shipping and insurance. Upon receipt of payment, item will be shipped. Buyer may purchase optional insurance. We are not responsible for damage if buyer does not purchase insurance. We do not issue cash refunds, we will give merchandise credit if you are not satisfied with the item. Buyer must notify us upon receipt if not satisfied with the item. All sales are final. Thanks and good bidding!
