This wonderful doll is prettier than many French Fashions. She was produced to capture the French Fashion doll market by the German cottage industry of doll making. She has a closed mouth, paper weight eyes, dome head, swival neck, and the most beautiful clear, delicate bisque. Her hands are original and in fine condition. The kid body has had a few professional patches at the stress points. This improves her. She has her original natural wig, shoes, and patterned stockings--really cute. The dress is made of old fabric and old lace but is a replacement in the style for the one that melted. Undies are old. She has a precious straw hat with old trim. Her ears are pierced with earrings. She is marked S&H 908 on her head. The kid had been lifted and split a little by the auctioneer so we reglued it and trimmed the torn part off. It now looks like there was never any damage to it. No one would know if you didn't mention it. Please send for more pictures and look her up in Jan Foulke's book on Simon Halbigs. There is quite a large paragraph about her. She is much more reasonably priced than the swival necked French fashion dolls and every bit as pretty. If not in an auction I will consider any reasonable offer.
