Up For Auction : 17 FINELY PAINTED 1/72 ITALERI 6015 FRENCH DRAGOONS Set comprises 1 Officer, 1 Guidon bearer, 1 Bugler and 14 troopers plus their 17 horses. This set depicts the Imperial Guard Empress' Dragoons as they appeared at The Battle Of Waterloo. They numbered 816 in 4 squadrons and made up roughly half of Napoleon's Guard Heavy Cavalry Division along with the Grenadiers a Cheval and a squadron of the Gendarmerie D'Elite. There were two other regiments of dragoons at the Battle of Waterloo - the 2nd and the 7th which made up half of L'Heritier's 11th Cavalry Division numbering 1,110 troopers. The main distinguishing feature of the Empress' Dragoons were their white overalls. But with a little over-painting these could easily represent any of the 3 Regiments present on that fateful day. Good luck if you bid!
