Have you heard the news? 17" Standing Father Christmas Russian Toymaker Comes Alive Again Do you remember Ivanov, the Russian Toymaker that I created about 2 weeks ago? His coat was from a wonderful old cloth bag from Russia that my father bought mother years and years ago. It went with me every time I traveled. Well, I cut it up and Ivanov came alive. I have had so very many people beg me to make another Ivanov. T was enough for one more I do hope he is as magical as the first Ivanov. Ivanov stands at 17". His coat has that wonderful aged look to it, and I would wager a guess that it was 100% wool and know it to be extremely old. Ivan has a fur hat and collar. Not sure what the fur is from. He has a black tunic skirt under his glorious coat. Hands and head of Ivan are hand molded and hand painted. He is wearing German Paper Mache boots He is holding an old bottle brush tree and a Black pull bear that he himself made for the children of the town he lives in. The Black Bears are so well known in Kuybyshev. Everyone loved Iranov, and he was always followed by the children of Kuybyshev on the Volga River. A town in Novosibirsk Oblast Russia.
