This auction is for an antique leather French book about sciences and art, titled: MEMOIRES POUR L'HISTOIRE DES SCIENCES ET DES BEAUX ARTS - (in three sections) - Juillet 1730 - Aout 1730 - Septembre 1730 - each section has sub categories, shown in the picture. Also on the title page: Recueilles par l'Ordre Son Altesse Serenissime Monfeigneur Prince Sonverain de Dombes - De L'Imprimerie de S.A.S. - A TREVOUX, & se vendent a Paris, Chez Etienne Ganeau, Librairie Jure de L'Universite, rue S. Jacques, pres la rue Platre, aux Armes de Dombe - Avec Approbation & Priviledge. - MDCCXXX - This rare book of 280 years is in very good condition with no writings, rips, tears, loose or missing pages, no stains and it is clean, tight and well bound. The leather hardcover has raised ribs on the spine with gold gilt decorations and lettering and is worn and a little chipped at the edges. It measures 6" by 3 1/2" by 1 1/4" and weighs 10 ozs.
