" Rev'd Sir / I have sent pr Mr Park Williams / 6 yds Shalloon 3.11.6 / pr Silk Hose 3.5.- / 4 yds Bag Holland 3/16/0 / yrd Cambrick .18.6 / the handkerchief d'd yourself [ ] .12.- / I unfortunately lost the pattern w'ch you sent & so cou'd not comply with your desisre in sending the Col'o but have sent Colours which are fashionable for any Cloth in Boston & hope they will suit. / Yr hble serv't / Caleb Lyman ."Bifolium lettersheet (6 x 7 1/2 inches), thick laid paper with ornate watermark. Address leaf: " For The Rev'd Mr Sol'o Williams In Lebanon ." No postal markings. Leaf bearing the correspondence especially fresh and clean; address leaf with early staining. ___________________________________In a quick internet search, we had little success finding references to Caleb Lyman. Reverend Solomon Williams was the father of William Williams, a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
