As New Condition , 17667 William Britain Two Piece Set of 'Toy Soldiers' depicting WW1 Mons 1914, A British 9th Lancer Officer, Captain Francis Grenfell, VC Recipient, sword drawn, charging on a horse. In 1893 William Britain created some of the most realistic and pleasing toy soldiers ever made. His legacy continues with this set. The two piece set is in mint condition and comes with the original box and paperwork, including the W. Britain Collector club leaflet and the W. Britian information leaflet about Mons. The hand made figures are very realistic as can be seen from the photographs. The figures stand 2 1/4" high approx. The horse stands 2 1/2" high and has the code WBW1 41 on the base.
