This is an Original American Revolution era note ("Continental Currency") from PENNSYLVANIA. Denomination: "TWO SHILLINGS". Dated "the 3d Day of April, Anno Domini 1772 ". Size: approx. 2 1/4 " by 3 1/4". Color: Heavy tan/brown paper, w/Black over-printing. Hand-signed & numbered in brown ink. Note is in Excellent Condition overall, but is somewhat worn ; it has a heavy, vertical fold-line at center; otherwise, o.k. Note grades aVF or slightly better . Front side has a Nice decorative border surrounding a statement of release + a large Emblem denoting (I assume!) the Colony of Pennsylvania; while the back/reverse side has a large, oblong LEAF Print + the words "To Counterfeit is Death" at top & "Printed by HALL and SELLERS. 1772." at the bottom. L OW beginning bid! NO RESERVE! Buyer pays $2.45S&H, extra for postage outside the U.S. ***Please see scans. I am showing Both sides of the note. These old Colonial American notes are becoming harder and harder to find and are VERY Collectible.
