Trapp, 1776. A LARGE LATE 1700S FOLIO EDITION OF FOXE'S MARTYRS WITH OVER 30 Leaves of ENGRAVINGS. An attractive and quite scarce Book of Martyrs in full 15.5" tall Folio (10" wide, 3.5" thick). In original boards, well worn, as shown, with some exposure and loss. Rear board held by taped over hinge, front detached altogether. Spine with well rubbed raised bands, original title label, as shown; central split nearly severs the book into h alves. N everthe less, this Martyrs specimen presents itself very well , minus the aforementioned flaws. Complete . Pages in great shape minus some foxing & light edgewear in a few places, first few leaves , including EPs and half title, heavily damaged, creased and de tached, rest of pages remain in good shape. Unmarked. The bulk of the volume is clean and unmarked with scattered very light foxing.
