This pay order directs John Laureneeker (Treasurer of CT) to pay a Mr. Seth Crocker for what appears to be food (salt) supplies. Ellsworth, one of the five Continental Congress members appointed to write the US Constitution, was also instrumental in designating the name of the newly formed country 'The United Sates'!! A nice piece ready for display.
