1777 Colonial Currency Seven Pence Note Encased in Lucite These are authentic bank notes. We purchased a large collection of them back in the 1970s. They are encased in lucite. A local company in the early 1960's, which is out of business now, was encasing old notes in lucite, to use as lids on trinket boxes at the time. The company went out of business and we purchased a large lot of these lucite lids that do have authentic old notes encased. This note is encased in lucite, and can not be removed without destroying the note. Would look fantastic on an easel for display though. Dated Oct. 11, 1777. No. (faded can not make out). Seven Pence. Lucite lid measures approx. 4.25" x 3.25". Please examine the photos closely and email any questions or concerns before bidding!
