This Document not only contains Signer of The Declaration R.T. Paines Bold & Bright Signature as The First Attorney General of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts but is also Hand Written in His Hand. Robert Treat Paine was The Founder of The Academy of The Art's and Science's and was The Prosecuter of The British Soldiers of The Boston Massacre of which John Adams was for The Defense. The Jurors for The Government of The People of The Massachusetts Bay in New England Present that Job Chace of Middleborough in The County of Plymouth Husbandman on the first Day of June last past at Freetown in The County of Bristol WITH FORCE & ARMS in and upon one Lot Strange in The Peace of God and of The Government & People aforesaid & in His own Dwelling House and Then & T being DID MAKE AN ASSAULT & Him The sd Lot Strange Then and T Did Beat, Wound & Evilly Entreat & other Wrongs to The sd Lot Strange then and T Did The Great Damage of The sd Lot Strange and against The Peace and Dignity of The Government & People aforesaid. Signed R T PAINE ATTY per State. A True Bill Robert Crossman Signs as Foreman & Guilty and with 16 L Fine. Witness's Lot Strange Theophilus Clark and John Sepca.
