1779 NORTH CAROLINA ( FRANKLIN COUNTY ) SHERIFF'S DOCUMENT Up for sale is this Original 1779 Sheriff's notice from Franklin County, North Carolina. Looks like the sheriff is looking for men to serve on the jury as the document reads "..... you have been commanded that you summon twelve good and lawful men of your country unconnected by a ....." The lawsuit is JOHN THORNLONG -VS- ROBERT HILL. Later on in this historic document I read "... at the court House in Warrington on the second Monday in Feb. ...." Because this being a super early North Carolina document, some of the early county were dividing into smaller areas. I could not find the town of WARRINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA in today's "Bing" search, maybe this town was "once lived " and gone today. Size of document is 7.25 by 5 inches with stains ( either water or age ) over 35% of the document ( mainly the top ). See scans of document. No holes, tears or pencil notations. Guaranteed to be 100% as described ( and genuine ) or your money back. Shipping is $1.00 to all lower 48 states. No International sales, please. See my other historical listing here on eBay. Thanks !
