1782 Decree of Trenton, Period Copy Document, William Whipple Period manuscript copy (estimated late 1790s) of the important decree signed by Continental Congressmen. It settled the boundary dispute between Connecticut and Pennsylvania The signers of the document were William Whipple, Welcome Arnold, David Brearley, Cyrus Griffin and Wm C Houston. "We are unanimously of opinion that the Jurisdiction and Preemption of all the Territory lying within the Chester boundary of Pennsylvania and now claimed by the State of Connecticut do of right belong to the State of Pennsylvania." 7.25" x 9.5" Hand laid paper, watermark "J Bassuet."
