1783 Gold Mourning Ring, with design of a winged angel's head above an urn, the band engraved "Henry Fitzhugh OB 19 Feb 1783 AE 61". Underside of ring engraved "Douglas H. Thomas / Baltimore / 1898". This ring was originally made to commemorate Henry Fitzhugh, a member of the prominent Fitzhugh family of Virginia. It was later repurposed to commemorate Douglas Hamilton Thomas. Wear to band.
