Coin looks to be an RR-5, 1785 Vermontis Colonial. Check the scans. (Enlarging them can help.) This is a VERY RARE COIN !! It has a crude look. It came to me with the flip information shown in the scans. Info states that it is cast and weighs 95.3 grains. The previous owner purchased it in a coin mail bid sale as part of a lot. Coin Galleries, The Foreign Department of Stack's, ran the auction. The closing date was July 16, 1997. It was lot 1476. I have copied the catalog cover and the individual lot info in the scans.Above is all of the information that I have on the coin's history. I have researched this variety. It exists in struck and cast forms. I have found 3 auction sales in 2015 for this variety. I compared the features on this coin to the 2015 auction coins and all discernable features look to match. Interestingly, my coin shows features that the 2015 coins do not and vice versa. The previous sales realized huge dollar amount for a coin of similar condition to this one.Please check the scans, use your personal knowledge, and do additional research on this variety if necessary to decide what to bid.Thanks for looking.
