Offered here is a nice issue of The Pennsylvania Packet, and Daily Advertiser, Saturday, September 19, 1789, [No. 3319], published by John Dunlap and David Claypoole (Philadelphia; Dunlap was the Colonial printer of the FIRST publication of the Declaration of Independence), 11 1/4" x 18"; 4pp. Page 3 contains a letter from the "Freemen of PA" to George Washington, followed by Washington's answer (an appeal to unify the Country by adopting the Constitution). Disbound, fold (breaks-- including some separation along spine), some edge wear, toning/ tone spots-- overall quite good. After 1776, 1789 may be the most significant year in America's growth as a nation.
