This Geo.III traveling corkscrew has a silver mount and a tapering cylindrical holder or sheath to conceal the sharp screw when not in use. The t-shaped handle is made of stained ivory. Corkscrews of this type were made in Birmingham in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. As most were unmarked it is impossible to give an exact date. A rare find offered to you by Chancery Lane Antiques for $795.00.
