ARABIAN TALESOr A Continuation of theARABIAN NIGHTS ENTERTAINMENTS Consisting of Stories Related by theSULTANA OF THE INDIESto divert her Husband from the Performance of a Rash VowTranslated into English byRobert Heronin Four VolumesDublin Ireland1792 Published in Dublin Ireland in1792this is probably the First Irish edition of this collection of tales, being a continuation of “The Arabian Nights Entertainments”, book are bound in old full leather bindings, titled and decorated in gilt to the spines, 7 inches tall approx. not illustratedCONDITIONthe binding have some signs of wear, with some wear and loss to leather at spine ends and corners, vertical crack to leather along spine of volume 2, some horizontal cracks, cracking along spine edges though all boards holding well, internally a tear with no loss to a preface page in volume 1 (pictured) minor loss to one page corner, not touching the text, some browning and occasional foxing, a few creased corners, some old ownership names to endpapers and title pages, else contents in good general condition IF PICTURES FAIL TO APPEAR CORRECTLYJUST I have many more rare and interesting books listed in my other auctions.
