Pricing & History
1795 50C 2 Leaves A Over E XF45 PCGS. CAC. O-113a, R.4. Although according to the Overton reference the late die state is scarcer than the early die state, the opposite seems to be the case in higher grades. Fewer than 10 different examples are known in AU or better grades, while this XF45 is next in the Census lineup for the variety. Both sides have splendid light silver-gray surfaces with hints of champagne, heather, and deeper gray along the borders. The reverse has several heavy adjustment marks at the center that have no effect on the grade, as they were Mint-made. Today those adjustment marks serve a useful purpose tracking the pedigree. Here is an outstanding opportunity for the advanced specialist. Grade: 45, Service: PCGS, Service No.: 6052, Issue Date: 1795, Denomination: 50C
