5DAY AUCTION This is token commemorates S. I. Eaton three times acquitted of sedition charges. Grade: AU+, or probably Unc. Edge: Finely milled (//////) Appearance: Beautiful surfaces and original sunset red remaining in the area of the legends. Excellent eye appeal here. Since this image has been enlarged 400%-500% it shows the fine details as well as exaggerating any irregularities. As a side note, these tokens are called by a number of other names besides Conder tokens (U.S.). In the U.K. the official name is Provincial token coinage of the 18 th Century. Other popular names include condor tokens, penny (1 d.) or half penny (1/2 d.) tokens. Although largely from England, there are numerous tokens in this series from Wales (primarily Anglesey), Ireland (primarily Dublin) and to a lesser extent, Scotland, thus sometimes collectively referred to more simply as eighteenth century British tokens.
