This elegantly classical octagon-shaped Georgian silver tea caddy has a hinged lid, a threaded edge on top and a flat base. The only ornamentation is the monogram "TGF". Hallmarks - Lion passant(sterling), Crowned Leopard's Head(London), Date letter C(1798) and Maker's mark PB/AB(Peter and Ann Bateman) - $3010.00 - Another fine antique from the large Bateman collection at Chancery Lane Antiques.
