In this auction I have for sale a 17th century Colonial Hanger. I really couldn't tell anymore about the exact time period or whether or not this was in the Revolutionary War. The pommel looks exactly like a sword recently sold on Ebay. I wouldn't know what this was if it was labeled by my Grandfather. I will describe what I see. The sword's (or hanger's) major defect is about 1/2 the wooden handle is missing. The rest of the sword seems to be in good shape. T are no markings that I can distinguish. The blade has a little pitting on the edge on both sides. The brass guard is in nice condition as is the remaining portion of the handle. If you have any questions or need more pictures, please email me. Bid with confidence as I have 100% feedback. Happy Bidding!
