Up for sale is an antique history book, “A Generall Historie of the Netherlands" By Ed Grimeston, Do an internet search and see how rare this book is. A D ark leatherbou nd book with gold embossed cover design. Printed in London in 1609. The billof sale is hand written in the front of the book and shows the purchaser to be Mr. Lympany in 1620. Has many full page wood block print illustrations throughout the book. A handwritten bill of sale shows a purchase price of 13 pounds, 4 shillings with “God Bless King James” written as well. The pages do have some discoloring due to age. The blank pages have hand-drawn sketches in ink of soldiers, a church, a ship, flag, etc. I am selling this item and much more from a collector that has traveled abroad and is downsizing her collection.
