This is a rare cloth doll made by the famous doll maker PAT THOMPSON of Beecher, Illinois. Her company trademark is VLASTA DOLLS. The doll's name is REBECCA. This doll was hand made and signed by Pat Thompson in 1985. The doll is 18 1/2" tall and 21" to the top of her hat. She is completely beautiful. The fabric that the doll is made of comes from Switzerland. Her cloth face is hand painted with painted blue-gray eyes. She has long blonde curls. Her dress and hat are made from antique cloth with lots of antique lace some dating back to the 1800's. Her right hand is carrying a lacy basket of flowers. She is complete with a stand. This very unique doll was one of Pat's earlier creations. No two dolls are alike. The start of the hand written card/tag reads "Congratulations, your new doll is another Vlasta first....". She is in excellent condition with the no damage. There is a very small soil mark on her left sock which probably can be cleaned. This will make a very nice rare addition to any collection. She was recently purchased at an estate sale, so we have no history of the original owner. Winning bid pays shipping. Good luck bidding.
