All cloth doll with pressed and oil painted facial features, circular seamed crown, stitched ears, blue painted eyes, richly painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, nicely blushed cheeks, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, bare feet, wearing white baby gown with embroidery and tucks. Condition: generally excellent, some paint wear on hair, fabric hole in right arm. Marks: No. 1, Pat. ...1903 (body stamp). Comments: Ella Smith`s `Alabama Baby`, circa 1910. Value Points: most appealing expression enhanced by original painting, beautifully painted curls with golden highlights.
