SO PRICES GO BACK UP, NO OFFERS ACCEPTED AND AS MY DOLLS SIT ON EBAY UNSOLD I SHALL ALSO BE LOOKING FOR OTHER AVENUES TO SELL MY LOVELY DOLLS WHERE THE COLLECTORS APPRECIATE GOOD DOLLS.This is an antique German doll made by Kestner. She is one of the early turnhead shoulder head dolls marked G and is an especially lovely one. She has such a gorgious face, original brown sleep eyes, an open moth with four teeth showing, feathered brows and exquisite painting overall. She has a brown mohair wig that could be the original. Her plaster pate is still attached. Because her pate is still attached I could not light her head to check for hairlines, but I inspected her bisque with a magnifying glass and see no suspicious lines.NOTE: I no longer like to remove plaster pates because that takes part of the originality of the doll away. I know we must protect their eyes in shipping but I have found that for smaller dolls by using magic mending tape and taping their eyes open (if they have no hair eyelashes) and packing them face down, their eyes survive the shipping. The tape does not hurt the doll or leave a residue if it is removed immediately upon receipt of the doll. I will leave it up to the buyer of this doll as to whether they want me to remove the pate, take away from the originality of the doll, and pack her head for shipping.This doll has a kid leather body that has had some repairs. There was no sifting of sawdust in the photographing so the repairs are holding. I noticed them both at her crotch and in the knees. She has stockings that come up over the knees to help protect them. She has a very small chip on her third fingernail on her left hand.This doll wears antique clothing Her bonnet is one of the most precious I have ever seen, old crochet interlaced with blue silk ribbon. Her dress is a high-waisted blue print and has an antique doll bar pin at the throat. She has on antique petticoat and pantaloons on and her shoes are antique and to die for. I am not sure if her stockings aren't vintage.I bought this doll many years ago at the Rosalie Whyel Doll Museum outside of Seattle which has since closed and she still has that tag attached. She is a most precious girl but it is time she found a new home. Please ask questions and I will be happy to supply more pictures.Shipping: I estimate shipping at the time of the listing.
